Integrating Remita for payments on websites
Integration is the ability to combine to systems to ease communication. 3rd party application can be integrated to Remita for the purpose of processing payment via their portal through Remita.
Remita provides a standards-based REST interface which enables application developers to interact in a powerful, yet secure way with their Remita account. Developers may call the API directly over HTTPS using the language of their choice.
The purpose of this integration is to enable the corporate or merchant leverage on Remita's diverse and seamless payment options to complete customers' transactions in a handshake implementation known as Remita integration.
Remita processes these payment instruction by debiting customers account and crediting billers account when the customer inputs correct account information.
Remita then sends a response to the biller informing them of the outcome of the transaction whether or not it was successful.
However the biller must be registered on Remita so Remita can identify the account it is to credit after debiting the customer.
